ALWAYS BELIEVE THAT WHAT IS COMING IS BETTER THAN WHAT IS GONE

We hold onto what hurts us.

We hold onto what hurts us.

Because letting go feels impossible.

"Always believe that what is coming is better than what is gone."

I used to think this was wishful thinking.

But there's actual science behind why we feel this way.

There's something called "loss aversion" happening in your brain.

The pain of losing something is twice as hard as the joy of gaining it.

That's why we :

Stay in relationships that stopped serving us years ago

Keep jobs that slowly drain our energy and enthusiasm

Avoid taking risks even when staying put hurts more

We choose familiar pain over uncertain possibility.

But here's what helped me overcome this, which was knowing this :

Your brain rewires itself based on what you expect.

When you genuinely believe good things are coming, your mind starts looking for evidence to support that belief.

- You notice opportunities you would have missed.

- You take actions you would have avoided.

- You interpret setbacks as course corrections, not dead ends.

When I was deciding whether to leave my high-paying corporate job, loss aversion was screaming at me. Giving up that salary felt terrifying.

But I had an opportunity to work on something I was passionate about.

But at a quarter of my previous earnings.

Every logical part of my brain said "stay safe."

But I started asking: "What if this leads to something extraordinary?"

Instead of focusing on what I'd lose, I imagined what I could gain.

The experience I'd build. The impact I could make. The person I'd become.

I discovered energy and creativity I didn't know I had.

So remember these few personal tips:

→ Your past experiences are data, not destiny

→ What you focus on shapes what you find

→ Believing in your future creates the energy to build it

Your history taught you valuable lessons.

But it doesn't get to write the next chapter.

Write in comments, What would you attempt if you truly believed your best opportunities were still ahead of you? Would love to hear
