BRAVE FACE

In my work, the people who "look strongest" are often the ones who've carried the most alone.

They learned early that their feelings were inconvenient, that vulnerability made others uncomfortable, that composure earned praise.

So they put on the brave face.

Not because they're pretending but because they don't know another way to exist.

If this feels familiar, here are a few reminders for you:

You don't have to crumble to be honest. Even saying "today was heavy" is a start.

You're not weak for having emotions, you're human.

Your body keeps score, even when your face stays steady.

Bravery isn't holding everything in. It's letting yourself soften, even a little.

Strength is beautiful, yes. But so is allowing yourself to be seen.

When was the last time you let yourself admit that you were struggling, even to just one person?
